Measure twice and cut yellow thang once into tow pieces...
Position yellow thangs atop of stool. You can use the include two sided tape to permanently secure into postion or invest in two sided velco strips to make dismantantling for transportation more easy and/or to work on other sized vehicles...

Yes, only $6 bucks and change on a popular website. Stripes of firm packaging foam work well too, just becomes very scarce when actually looking for it...

Thanks for this! I did the same thing but put the yellow thing the other direction so that the stand can still fold for portability.

Thats cool, I cant get over the fact they actually sell an 8" step stool like that lol. Good thing you found a good use for it!

I also have some step stools from Harbor Freight that without the yellow parking thingy, work for my Arrma 1/5 scale trucks and my Losi DBLXE 2.0 with the flat chassis. They might even work better for the Xmaxx stand idea because the top surface is all one piece and folds differently so you wouldn't have the split to work with/against.
