Are there any benefits between a motor that is longer but has a smaller diameter or is it mostly so everybody has a good fit in their rig?
for example 4074 vs 4274 vs 4092. They all can be had in around 2000kv...
Larger cans make more power, in general.

I feel that a longer Can motor gives you more torque, when comparing length, diameter being the same. I think Fatter cans are for the higher voltage class ESC's. (50+ series motors) Also longer cans would have more torque in this catagory. Same applies. Thats how I see it least.
Rigs are built around motors not the other way a round.

So question on electronics. I have a max 8 2200kv combo I plan on running in my Kraton exb when it gets here (will use small pinion/dual motor fans/heatsink). I know this setup isn’t particularly ideal in this rig granted it’s size but I’m going to make due. My question is would this setup do better in the Kraton or the Mojave. I think the Mojave may be heavier but it’s got the smaller tires? I know I’ll want a Mojave eventually and wanted to see which vehicle would do better temp wise with the max 8

I would go for a larger can and lower kv motor for a Mojave, considering it's 1/7 scale. I'd say it would fair better in a Kraton EXB with smaller diameter tyres like the Backflip LPs

I would drop the K/O8S electronics in the Mojave EXB if I could find them cheap online, or the HW Max6 1650kv combo that I've sourced already

?was actually wondering when there will be a new car?
Or was it fake??

Nearly all the parts already exist for both the Outcast & Mojave. Arrma is trying to sort out the diffs. The last batch of plates were a rush job & some were made out of spec. The rings on my warranty parts had different thicknesses as well. Half of the Kratons had issues so they can take as long as they want to avoid another mess.

SO...Is today the day? Do they have a usual release time/window of day on Thursdays?

Also heard from my LHS, 2 days ago, the V2 Mojave is slated for Late November per their communications.

Ahahaha yes. But im what did he mean by 1SLD diff for the kraton exb and x3 on the exb mojave?

The second batch of the Kraton EXB 1/8th scale and the Mojave EXB 1/7th (when it releases) will sell with the LSD (x1) spec diff in the rear and LSD (x3) in the front/centre.

This means that the Kraton EXB and the Mojave EXB will come with the three diff. plates (the x3 LSD) on front and center and the new 12x18x1.9 shim (the x1 LSD) in the rear.

I don't think that's exactly what he meant. I think that the next batch will use 3 LSD plates in the rear, but in the "1 face" configuration that is less locked, and future runs will get the new shim that will make it truly open diff.

That doesn't explain the x1 and x3...But, when you have one shim (x1) instead of three (x3), this make more sense.
