So not sure if it was compulsive or if it was 🍻 but I couldn't resist and I had to get this super deal .my son came home for the weekend from college and I was working on my kraton and he seemed to want to get back into RCs again..he already had a kraton but we sold it because he wanted a PS5 for college after college soccer season was over .he had some free time.anyways he told me it would be nice for both of us to running trucks on the field again but he didn't have one any more.so i said lets take a look on ebay and see..well I threw down a bid on a new blx 6s blue kraton .I won the bid yesterday at a super deal.410.00 dollars 🤯 these are typically going for 550.plus shipping and tax .some I saw for even 699.cant waite for it to come in👍

Noticed the ESC is gray.i looked it up and they say it's latest new version of v5🤷 my other kraton is a v3 which I'm very happy with because it was the last model made before Arrma was bought out and many say it has bullet proof diffs.either way I hope this one is as good.again we are not extreme bashers.just cruisers and occasionally grass runners.mine is red his is blue .easy for us to tell who's is who's when running together 👍

Ik ik ,I can't wait for you to get your pro shark .👍you will .just takes time when bidding.took me months before I landed on my son's kraton.and the color he wanted .all within time my friend.patience is the key ...your boat will come .😁👍

So I definitely have the impulse buy thing. But what's more obsessive with me is doing little upgrades. It's like I want to always have a thing I'm doing to my rig. Like, "hey it's just $18 for this aluminum front upper suspension mount." And "look, this servo mount is just $24". "I can also upgrade the stock steering rack fairly cheap."

I just love doing these little upgrades. As soon as I finish one and nothing is on the go, I start looking at something else. I know this can probably be bad but I gotta say, I really love this ****.
 
I typically imagine impulse buys being regretful in my personal experience. Neither of these were that lol.. Jammin’ CRT .5, and Losi Micro T about 16-17yrs ago..😅🤣

The MicroT was slightly delicate with the modified motor inside the house, but replacing the steering drag link with a piece of cut zip tie with a hole drilled in each end legit took care of it. The CRT.5 was PHENOMENAL, and likely the most entertaining RC vehicle I’ve owned in 35+yrs. Regular duty with the .12 Picco Red Dot it was a handful…. With the OZ .18TZ-it was an absolute RIOT. 😳😅

So the Dodge ram 2020 proline cover should be here today..😁👍 definitely a impulse buy. And hopefully no regrets when I open the box...my son wants me to paint it solid bright white ..with black tinted windows..I asked him why ,he said 🤷 .well I'll have to stop at the local hobby shop and pick up a can of Tamiya white

Same here when it comes to upgrades. When the buying spree goes into overdrive, ends up costing more than the rc. Like you, I enjoy spending time upgrading and satisfaction gained. I converted two of my old nitro rc cars, Hyper 7 and HPI RS4 to brushless, 6s and 3s respectively. Lots of fun doing the conversion.

When I break/bend/destroy something, I always opt for getting an upgraded part if available. I am not going to change my driving style and chances are the same part is gonna break again unless I upgrade it.
