Will post the build up of my vendetta before winter hit and what setups i ran in that time. Then continuing to fine tune things this winter.
I’ll also post on the spools I’ve built in case someone wants some guidance for them.
I had a very successful two month set of runs with my vendetta before winter hit with the best of 145mph, I have the gearing setup to crack 150 this spring with the car exactly the way it is. I hit between 143-145 5 times on the previous gearing, with stable voltage supply.
Very excited to see where I can take this chassis to.
My goal after 150 is definitely to get into the 160-170 range to compete with the fastest slash and crack past my current limitless record pb. Thankyou for checking everything out
Basic run down of the car:
Mmx8s
Killmode cap pack
Tp4050 motor
Custom spool
Upgrade to typhon 17mm hexes
Bsr foam shaved to 91-92mm height (about 2-
3mm of foam left on the rim.
Upgraded to metal front and rear exb diffs (plastic ones did hold up for my 145mph pass)
But they melted when I added a second parallel
battery weight.
All runs this past couple months we’re done with a single 5000 mah g+ cnhl battery
Diffs using 20million weight diff fluid
Properly shimmed to spin freely(which actually meant removing what they had installed from the factory because it was binding)
Custom made chassis brace from a cut down limitless brace
Custom made carbon fiber wing set
Filled front wheel holes on body
Custom carbon fiber front diffuser along with full carbon under tray.
With the under tray I made from carbon I was able to drill into the front control arms and make droop screws to adjust the height like the limitless
Added fuel line to the rear shocks to help keep them from compressing
My setups and speeds consisted of:
Stock motor with mmx esc on 4s, stock speed gear and stock spur, stock chassis and tires, 107 mph best with about 10 runs all near the same speed( tires eventually cracked apart)
Mmx8s esc / tp4050 motor on single 4s 117mph pb, only did 2 runs on 4s with this setup
Mmx8s /tp4050 motor on single 6s
145mpg pb, about 15-20 completed runs on this setup. 8 or so with the car going airborne, the rest between 139-145
All on the same gearing to try and make sure I could fix my other issues.
The body did get destroyed during a 143 mph crash.
The biggest problem I seem to have with this car is it likes to go airborne about 130-135.
I have done some more changes now and this should be fixed
This was the last run of the season and it was 30 degrees with snow and salt on the road, I should not have chanced it really.
Since then I lowered the front down more and realigned the camber and toe
I am also working on adding a second battery in the front bumper to then run parallel this spring and also shift some weight to the front of the car
Here’s the 145mph pass,
Run is around the 1:10 mark
