Pilot car operator for escorting oversized loads
I bet you have seen some very expensive "oops" in your time!
I ran a business with my two brothers for 25 years (no, not making dildos ?). It was an aviation business with a 20,000 sq.ft. main hangar, 32 t-hangars, office space and 28 acres of paved ramp space. Our primary source of revenue was selling jet fuel and storage space for corporate jets. However, we also provided flight training, aircraft sales, maintenance/parts and private charter & aircraft management. I had 25% ownership along with my two brothers and my father. Had a great offer to sell back in 2007 but the market tanked in 2008 while we were trying to close. In 2013 we received another offer that wasn't as good but it made sense so we sold. Can't say I really miss it. It was a ton of work and stress (5,000,000 loan to build everything). My older brother was sick and I couldn't see carrying on without him.

So now I invest in various markets and I am looking into real estate. The wood working I started has a purpose. The more you can do yourself the better the ROI on investment properties. My friends like to say I'm retired. I tell them I'm in between jobs ?
Sorry to hear about your brother.

Explains a bit about your RC'ing habits at any day of the week. Thought maybe you were self employed or something and could pick/choose when you wanted to work.

I own and run my own refrigeration, heating, and a/c company. I’ve been in business for 26 years. I have 3 employees. I work hard and play hard.

I'm a train engineer....No passengers, only freight trains

I live a couple stone throws away from freight tracks. Not like Elwood from the Blues Brothers, a more comfortable distance. Sometimes they stop and wait for a signal. I love the sound of the cars taking the play out of the cup links when they start moving again. Big weight of responsibility there, must be a very satisfying job.

I'm a senior fraud analyst. Essentially I consult with banks and credit unions helping them navigate the waters of debit/credit card transactions. I work for a Payment Processor, so we process payments for financial institutions and merchants. I've had several roles from managing the strategy/analytics teams to managing the day to day operations. Now I get to work directly with clients as a subject matter expert in card fraud. Get to see all kinds of fraud. I joke I am on the wrong side as its apparent the fraud is quite lucrative if you know the ins and outs. Truthfully I don't think I am cut out for jail, so I'll stick to the good side. We are the ones that block your card and ask if you made a purchase at a Walmart in some poop hole city.

I just got out of the payments industry (Mostly ACH, and CH21) property management companies was the bulk of the clientele. It can be a fast moving high stress job at times when people can't figure out where millions of dollars went. It was pretty enjoyable work at times.

Stress for sure. It's not a job you get thanked very often as most are upset of losing 100's of thousands of dollars. I'm definitely greying rather quickly from 16 years in fraud.

I probably have the best job ever. I sell beer. I oversee a team of sales reps for a distributor. Friday mornings are supplier “meetings” aka drinks the newest offferings.

Any other beer people here?
Federal Cubicle Monkey. I spend your taxes. All of them.
Can you spend them on a new infraction for me?
