By the way… I want that poop covered rock. Send it to me with some others (without the poop, though). I’ll cover shipping! I just really want it. I’ll send you back some shiny rocks. How about that?
🙃🤣

Don't sweat that stuff, I still laugh at the times my dad was being a complete ass. The crap that would come out of his mouth.

All my buddies gave him a nickname that he wore like a badge of honor. MSOM, Mean S##itty Old Man.

This is him when we finished up the 9 month resto of his Corvette, his very first drive in it. My future wife is standing right there, we'd only been dating a few months at that point.

This is it a couple hours after we got it home.

I'm sorry.... I grew up in the 70's when this show ran...it reminds me of the series I loved to watch. Loved the iconic truck as well.

I cannot wait to see your finished work brother (y)

That a 60 vet?
It's a 54, he had one when I was born and sold it to get a family car. He talked about it a lot. I found it in the paper classifieds all burnt up for a smokin deal ( lol ). I had the skills to rebuild the body so we got after it. Sold my 34 Chevy to finance the project, you can see the ass of it in the burnt pic.

Here it is with the last car I built from a disaster back when he was still alive, a 75 2002

My next project sitting on the lift looking neglected. a 73 CJ5 that my late uncle was the original owner of.

I have way too many projects to even think about acquiring more.

My wife is doggin me to get going on her 63 Chevy pickup which is hiding back there behind my 69 1600, some spare fenders for my 41 Ford leaning up against the wall. Not pictured is the T-bucket, a 74 2002 and a 46 ford. Then my wife and I have 4 daily drivers and we're both retired ( obviously needed ) It was worse 6 months ago before I sold 2 motorcycles and a car, my friends are always trying to help me by giving me more s#it and even delivering it ( see below ).

My wife is dogging me on this now too.

I guess I should wear my " leave me alone " T shirt more often.

Better NOT let my wife meet up with yours!
They BOTH would gang up on us and we'll never hear the end of it then...

I'll need a shirt like that but written in Mandarin..

I’m here to tell ya the steel used to make the 50s trucks is frikin steel !!!!
Compared to today’s vehicles..
I joined a forum for 50 ish 3100 truck’s because I just don’t know that much about them and am always up for new to me information!!!!!
The people on the forum have convinced me to attempt to get the truck running as Is which kinda makes sense i guess
However……..
It was last licensed in 62
The in-line 6 is locked up tighter than peepee's hat band …
So I started using measures to unfreeze rings in cylinders.
Started with PB blaster, the, ATF fluid ,
Then mix of ATF and acetone,
It’s been sitting like that since I got her ,..
Got 1-4 to allow ATF to drain past rings
But 5-6 are a mother !!!!!
So I moved on to dumping “white vinegar” down plug holes !
Dude
White vinegar is nasty stuff !!!
If it doesn’t break loose pretty soon I’m going back to plan A or B or whatever…
They keep telling me to be patient!!!!!
Ha !!!!!
Paitients are for DRs !!!!
I even bought a bore scope to look down cylinders.
I can’t see $hit !!!
Money well spent there !
My compressor won’t keep up with bead blaster , go figure!!!
Boys are like , this sucks dad !!!! Lol
Oh well , we will geter going eventually!

white vinegar
Is it literally vinegar… or a name for something else caustic. I use 45% white vinegar to clean rocks, which is why I’m asking 🤷‍♂️

To best of my knowledge it’s “white” vinegar???
Idk
I know it’s nasty stuff
Ran me out of shop !!!

Ah ok cool. That’s comes up as 6% concentrate. Regular household vinegar is around 4-5%. Try this stuff that I use for removing calcite and limestone off crystals and agates. 45% strength and works amazing. Just don’t smell it deeply 🤮 it also cleans concrete, bathrooms etc.
