Personally, I prefer it like this. Then people can say what they feel/think without worry of their posts getting deleted like they do at forums owned by the companies that make the vehicles, like traxxas. Not saying their forum doesn't have a lot of info, but it's pretty easy to get booted if your opinion doesn't line up with theirs. Not saying that's wrong, but some opinions are worth reading even if they are against the grain a bit.
Its not a forum if you cant express your self ,your opinions and observations. Of course in a decent tone. It becomes a cult following,(n) doing things their way, follow the leader logic. That's just BS.

hh got back to me and offered the new parts at the discounted price of $25. Pretty cool of them to not make the early adopters pay full price. I thought for sure I would have to drop $100 or so.
That is great news. How long did it take for you to hear back? It's been a little over a day for me, think they said 48 hours to return an email. I wish they would just make an announcement already, what they are willing to offer the early adopters. I'd like to get in the queue for the pre-order for these parts.

I messaged them on the 25th. They messaged back about the parts today. I figure they got blown up about it and weren't sure what they were going to do right away. They got back to me about the loctite fairly fast. and shipped super fast.

Do not buy those droop screws. They do not fit the kraton 8S. Too big and too long. Waste of money.

My God! So much thread locker. I took apart the motor mount and clean everything and used new screws with my orange thread locker.

Soldering iron don't work for poop. Torch is your friend here.

That's horrible stuff , I've been at this addiction for 25 years , thought I was good at screws until I got my 6s , stuck recovering from surgery so I upgraded it right out of the box , any metal to metal contact was a nightmare ! Contacted HH they asked for a parts list and in 5 days I got anything on the vehical that was b metal for free ! Great service , blown away actually ,
As to that hobby shop thing that was previously mentioned here ?? so I ordered the new version 8s , I was standing right there when the owner was ordering it , it enterupted the conversation and said hey Matt make sure it says on the box dx3e and not dx2e for the transmitter , the fool on the fone said it did ,,,,,, well it didn't , Matt has always been great to me , so I'm going through this with a smile on my face , he gaurentees me a new version for the same price of the awesome price he gave me previously , awesome , I'm just not gunna print the price and light any fires ???i geuss ?

OMG, fo real, that was drenched in tread lock. Was going to disassemble mine tomorrow, and was going to try heating the screws with a soldering iron, those pics are making me think twice....

Soldering iron don't work. Even with torch I had to re heat each screw 2-3 times. Make sure to take off any plastic surroundings and have the torch on low.

Btw,. New 22T Arrma pinion gear comes with one small pussy grub screw.

I was eyeing that DB the other day with the lid on, very cool looking! You've got a problem my friend, I know a guy!

First screw came out for me, the second stripped. I ended up drilling the head off and using a vice grip to twist out the rest. The mount was mangled but I already had another. The Loctite is a joke on some of these....

You guys think that if I order direct from HH, I’ll get V2?
Today yes. Can’t imagine they have any V1 remaining. A LHS might still have V1s tho.

That's a guess/chance in my opinion.. I would call direct to sales and ask politely. That you won't accept the first release. That should be in customer notes. Sometimes sales has no control over inventory and how they are picked for shipping. Worst case. It arrives. The box clearly shows the older Radio. don't open and call them for a return shipper and back it goes. A pia, but a solution. Best case is that HH has no more of 1st rel.

Reminds me to get in that knobbytown and see if he wants to come off that V1 a couple c-notes, dude had 7 V1's left a few days ago. Probably scoop up that infraction too.. There goes another $1500..

For the right price a first release K8 is a good bet.(y) I don't mind. But some others may not want them at any price?
I have a Multi mod. radio. already and the stock chassis I would not mind trying to destroy for fun.
I know I want the SWB Crusher M2C anyway and I would sleeve the upper brace out the box. Different ways to approach based on what I've seen others do so far. LHS probably have the bulk of first releases anyway if any left.

Question,

Lower KV has more torque while higher KV has more top end?

It's not as simple as that. Motor size plays a bigger role than KV. The longer and/or fatter motors will deliver for torque for sure.
