Knives and led flashlights are my weakness. I've literally got an entire junk drawer full of them. I'm not sure why.
I think for me, it's an addiction carried over from my dad. He was a specialty industrial welder for many years and made a ton of homeade knives out of high carbon steel cutting blades he would use at work. He would make handles out of delrin or wood usually. He would also take a cheap pocket knife, take it apart and put new blades in he made. Could shave with the stupid things.

I'm not that handy, but a couple of the ones I bought were favorites of his I remember when I was growing up. This last one just seems like something he would make.

I bought another pocket knife... I have like 7 of them now and I don't even use them for anything as I hate carrying stuff in my pockets. At least this one was cheap, the Opinel no6 carbon steel folding lock blade.
I like the Opinel knives quite a bit. And carbon steel is the way to go. Lately I've bought a few carbon Mora knives for utility. I always have one on my waist and even though they make fun of me for it, I bet I use it 10 times a day. I get the under $20 ones.

Don't know where I want to start.

Try Jennys Rc. New parts from kits that they part out. Not sure how they managed to put a messed up case in a new bag, but time to send it back. Probably someone else's return that got mixed in with new parts.
I know a about Jennysrc, I only needed the gearbox case. I honestly think my next investment is going to be a couple of Hot Racing gearboxes.

If you were going to order some spare parts to have on hand for a new Notorious what all would you order?

Wing and suspension parts are my first thoughts.

If you're not planning on using to many upgrade parts, wings and wing mounts, a-arms, a chassis, chassis braces and dif sets, and cvd's are a good idea. With the difs, you could have a complete set, shimmed with different fluid of choice, ready to go. They switch over so easy, it seems like a no brainer. With the other parts, these are the stock items that are likely to go during hard bashing. I also bought an extra BLX 185 esc for another one of my rigs. 6s ready and cheap compared to name brand units. I know this seems like a big list, but anyone who knows this hobby, knows that breakage is inevitable. Better to have spares on hand. I also bought an extra set of dboot backflips because I like them so much.

So far, I've ordered some T-Bones parts (both bumpers, wing mount and mud flaps) and a Voltage server mount. I was thinking about the Voltage shock towers next. Aside from that, I guess I'll be ordering some of those parts you listed above.

I'm putting myself on notice. I should not have reason to return to this thread until well after Christmas. Final purchase for a stretch was an unbreakable body. Hopefully they get it to me sooner than projected. Got it for 15% off with today's EBAY coupon.

After reading the @Jimbobjr post, I immediately went searching and found two skate board ramps for sale. Found a pair that were brand new for $13. They were both too narrow for my rc's, but with a little modification, here's what I came up with. Gonna switch to plastic tops when I can get my hands on a sheet.

Should work very well! I should do this trick next cause I want something with a little less vert transition. Perfect for blasting off. This is a very nice setup. Thanks for showing it.

Works a bit better when you buy pairs of the same ones, then you can stack them for storage and put them side by side to make it wider. But if you have the room to do what you did, that works well too.

It was a quick, cheap, grab. I know what you mean, which is why I had to mod. Like everything else I do in rc, trial and error ;)
