Roger that, I will give them a go!Welcome to the Arrma Fam!
That’s not bad. I think you’ll find some foams will hook better than the GRPs. I like the Sweep Max Forward Soft the best so far.

I didn't notice any performance drop off from the Contact 25 shore to the Sweep Max Forward Soft foams, but the Sweeps seem to last a lot longer. The Contact 25 shore wore down to the stickers in two outings, where my Sweeps are still well over 50% remaining foam. I am a believer in the Sweeps for that reason. I may give my BSR Purples a rip too, just for science.I got some test passes in today with the Typhon, ended up with tiny improvements in both the 0 to 40 and the 0 to 188ft.. It’s getting harder to find improvements with this car but there’s still more left in it. I tried running on Contact 25 shore foams, but it seems like they were consistently 1.5 to 2 tenths off the times I was getting from the GRP S1’s. I’ll have to run more with them. I might give the Sweep soft foams a try

I bet you would see big improvements from a better road with no large cracks like that obviously, but more importantly with smoother, tighter asphalt like a newly paved road. Running on a better road immediately improved my times by about 2 to 3 tenthsWell.... I'm officially going backwards
I did a 1.380" last week, didn't change anything on the car except went down from 25T pinion to a 23T..!!
Expected more acceleration but all I got was a slower car I did 38 passes in total, below is the best I could do..
Was going to gear it for 47mph and wanted to try 19T with 39T spur but the stock motor mount wouldn't allow it, who knows the TTC min and max of the stock motor mount ??

Thought I'd try a couple of 188ft passes.... faster top speed than last week but slower overall time

And here's my road, check the state of this how's that for a crack..!!

Back to the drawing board for next week
Looks like the runway your mate Kev uses for his speed runsWell.... I'm officially going backwards

Not sure what to aim at as I can't get the gearing I want as the TTC isn't rightLooks like the runway your mate Kev uses for his speed runs
Yeah 57mph is geared right in between 0-40 and 188ft. You need to go down for 0-40 and up for 188ft. That setup is no good for either.
If they help you get the TTC in the right range, then yes they will help. But since we aren't shooting for 150+mph it isn't really essential to use GP5, generally speaking. I actually am running GP4 (EXB) diffs in my Drag Infraction. Not sure what to aim at as I can't get the gearing I want as the TTC isn't right
@jondilly1974 .. would I benefit from getting some of the newer infraction diffs ??
Is it the gp5's ??
Realistically we are likely the only ones doing organized no prep drag hits with 1/7 scale 4wd cars. Arrma cars go against pretty much every no prep rule, so after taking a look at the rationale behind many of the official no prep rules, it made sense to do 188ft hits since the 132ft are 1/10 scale 1/4mi.Question guys.. Why is it we are doing 188ft, when almost everywhere else I see guys racing 1/8 and 1/7 at 132ft.. I see the logic of 188ft obviously, 132 is 10% of 1320 so perfect for 1/10.. so a 1/7 scale should go longer, but are we the only ones doing it this way?
I honestly don’t care what the rules are, I will run what we say is the target. 132ft, 188ft, real 1/8 or 1/4, I will run it.Realistically we are likely the only ones doing organized no prep drag hits with 1/7 scale 4wd cars. Oooooo I got a setup I could run for that! There's an up & coming 4s 1/7 category in some of the fb groups (Compton no prep)
No cap pack is just dumb AF. It don’t help performance. It saves the ESC from abuse.
2.640 is my PB I believeGood day today. A New PB for the Typhon 6s, a tiny improvement with a 1.14 0 to 40 run. I’m still on GRP S1 slicks, I tried Contact foams but it wasn’t as quick, I’ll have to try another brand of foams and see if there’s any improvement.
I also got a new PB for the Infraction 8s in the 188ft, a 2.75
is that the new #1 for the leaderboard, or did Jondilly beat his own time again..
