I decided to do a Friday lunchtime barbecue. Pork chops ‘squares’ and veggie kebabs with cilantro lime rice. My favorite beer kept me company. 🤤

Since we are renovating the kitchen, we are using the BBQ even more than normal. We usually cook all our roasts in it anyway so no problem for us.

Here we go, reheated, but hey, it makes a great breakfast

That’s a cool thing about Carne Asada, it is pretty damn good reheated and thrown in eggs. Or soup. On pizza. Spaghetti even. Or just shovel into your mouth with a spoon.

So did you just slow smoke it or did you smoke it and then sear it?
Never mind, I see sear marks looking close. Almost close enough to smell it even. Looks really good man. Dang I’m hungry.

Smoked, then seared with a blowtorch

Yeah kinda. I got one originally so that I could solder on new connections before I had and learned how to use a soldering iron properly. Now I use it for stubborn locktite scenarios.
And apparently Carne Asada now 😊
