Ok well super stoked was able to pull a new 6s PB of 126mph today and hit my goal of 125+ on 6s. Unfortunately with the defective 1717 shaft had to go back to my TP 4050 2100kv. Not sure I'll be able to pull much more on 6s with it as before I topped out at 123mph with the TP 4060-cm 2080kv on just a tooth more but running smaller Hoons than the BSR's I'm running now. Also really don't like how hot it runs so may give it another pass or two on 6s and then have to wait until Castle sends me a new 1717 hopefully. Also went for a new 4s PB but no luck with the new SMC pack only hit 95mph and PB for 4s is 96mph. Only the packs second charge so really hoping these packs heat up with a couple more charges or now I've got two 4s packs that will just go to bashing.

Ok got the new PPS complete mount set installed I picked up from @Kingleo619 and shrink wrapped the front upper A arms. Also decided I want to play with 4s while I wait for the new 1717 1260kv or until Castle hopefully replaces my 1650kv. Running my TP 4050 2100kv and starting with 29t spool and 31t pinion. Definitely will see some new 4s PB's. Also going to play with 4s in parallel to see how much it helps with sag and how much top speed difference I get over running a single 4s pack.

Do you always give your gearing out or is this a special occasion?? :ROFLMAO:
Most of the time ya I really don't care it's not a special secret. Lot of other things that make a difference over just gearing lol. And unless you have the exact same setup, lipos, diff gearing, tires, everything exact same it's going to give different results than I will get. Also this is for 4s and geared higher than what I'd run for 6s or 8s also.

127 was all I could wring out of my 4050 (2100) on 6s last season in the Typhon, so you’re “at the wall” so to speak IMO

Ya I may try for a few more MPH's when I'm done playing with 4s. I know some of the gain over previous PB of 123 is definitely the bigger 103mm foams and better throttle pull but I don't expect the 4050 to give up much more at all. Now when I get my 1717 1650 back from Castle or the new 1260kv that's a different story as I'll be able to gear up quite a bit more than what the TP will handle.

Can you explain what the point is of shrink wrapping the arms?

It gives better aero than the center of the arm being open so it reduces drag. The top open wheel guys do this as well that's where I got the idea

Is that something that actually helps? If it does or not....its a good idea!
I know @LibertyMKiii posted in the speed runner thread awhile ago that one of the top guys for open wheel is doing this to help with aero. Maybe James McCoy is the guys name doing like 170+ with open wheel Limitless

Are you ever going to go GT? I want mine to be open-wheel for as long as possible.

I may eventually but I'd like to hit my 150mph goal open wheel 🤘

Ya I figured if the top guys running 170+ use it on their rigs it must help and be worth trying anyways. Like I said I believe liberty posted a video in the speed runners thread about it is where I got the idea👍

Just got off the phone with Castle and thank God they replaced the rotor on my 1717 free of charge and motor will be shipped out on Tuesday 😁 Extremely happy with the service and more so the motor took only 1 day to be fixed after they received it so had virtually no wait for repair.

Awesome some more good news😁 was able to get out this afternoon with the Limitless and run the new gearing for 4s with the TP 4050 and smashed a new +12mph 4s PB of 108mph 🤘😎 I'll try and get video edited and up on my channel this afternoon and post here as well👍

Made a few changes to the Limitless recently. New center brace ESC mount installed and new XLX2 installed as well. Went with Qs8 connector on XLX2 so had a decent amount of soldering between the ESC, 8mm bullets for motor wires and also all my speed run packs. While doing bench test with the XLX2 noticed wobble in my rear input cup and found a blown bearing. Replaced both front and rear input bearings on bother gearboxes and changed front from the plastic covered safe-D crap to the old round style. Gave her a cleaning and adjusted droop a little so she's all ready for a maiden pass with the new XLX2 😍

Good catch on the bearing! That could have been catastrophic if not caught 🤯
