After having an awesome month or so running my first vendetta, which it currently regeared for 150+ come spring,
I had the itch to start to build a second one with some different ideas from the first car

Part list:
Xlx2 setup w/ parallel qs8
Tp 4070scm 2950kv
Lwb 3s chassis with vendetta towers
Exb metal front and rear diffs (20million weight)
Typhon 3s adjustable wide arms
Limitless rear shocks (with rubber hose to limit travel)
Vendetta front shocks(with rubber hose to limit travel)
Savox servo
Emp 6s chassis battery trays
Custom carbon bits: to adjust front and rear droop on control arms, and ESC mount
Custom Carbon fiber tower to tower brace
Full carbon delta plastic body
Bsr purple or xx pink foams
Custom mod 1 spool
Vendetta front splitter
Vendetta rear diffuser

Goals are lofty😁 I have no personal experience with the scm motors yet,
But I would like to break 153mph on 4s which is the fastest 1/10, 1/8th chassis 4s record I’ve seen. 4s runs will be with two 4000mah cnhl 4s in parallel geared 32/32

Will then run 6s with parralel 4000mah cnhl batteries geared 25/40

Most stuff mocked up, was trying to figure out a way to mount the motor and ESC without using motor lead extensions but I ended up having to extend them slightly

ESC and motor mounted in place with wires.

My second limitless rear shock came in today.
Drilled out the upper tower screw holes to keep the shocks tight, and one more thing checked off the list

Working on the panels for under the chassis
This will let me adjust rear droop.
I’m thinking I’m going to duplicate this design for the front to close off the front area

I was trying to keep it simple on the front but I think I’m going to remake them and close off the openings to keep air out of the body

Love the CF body!

As for the bottom rear, are you gonna trim the CF to keep a smooth transfer to the diffuser? Like this you might as well remove the diffuser entirely
It’s funny you say that as I originally planned to have it flipped around and it will be once I screw it down. So the rear diffuser will still function.

Got a few more batteries from cnhl for a couple 3s parralel runs and some different 4 and 6s combinations if I need it. I would say my speed run batteries are well stocked and yes, yes I have a problem 😂

Going to work on a second carbon body at some point with this fc100 body. They fit pretty well on the wide vendetta.
The hardest part is making new posts to mount in the rear

My other vendetta with 28/34 doesn’t allow me to run the bearing guide for the driveshaft so I don’t know how it will hold up

Will update pictures tonight. Worked on making a couple more spools for different gearing options.
Current 4s gearing will be setup geared 32/32 which is the smallest I can run as the motor interferes with the bearing guide for the driveshaft. Geared to 187mph and hoping to net a 150 pass with that setup.
Built 34, 36t and 38t spools:
so for 6s I can run 25-28t with 36t spool
And on 8s I can run 20-24 with 38t spool

I really don’t know how this 2950 motor will do on higher voltage as far as heat and power output. Even tho it is rated for 8s I think the sweet spot with balancing battery weight and power will be my 6s runs on this car.

I really like my fc100 body for my limitless so I decided to do a full carbon one for this vendetta. Was able to get everything trimmed up and ready to add carbon to it.
The slanted rear end area I’ll also bend down when I lay carbon to flatten it out

What's your cutting 2mm CF process?do you use a band saw??

Butting into this conversation without being asked
I cut a lot of carbon fiber.... My recommendation is a "carbide grit" jigsaw blade. You get really good control from a jigsaw. I recommend putting painters tape on both sides of the carbon. Draw your lines on the tape and then cut through it that way. That will keep the edges cleaner.

I also usually cut slightly over the size I need and then use a long block sanding block with 120-180 grit sand paper to get a perfectly straight and smooth edge finish on the cut parts.

Just remember the dust is said to be like asbestos for your lungs so take safety seriously.

Basically everything Liberty said is what I do as well.
I use tools to do my cutting at work. Airsaw with 32tpi or a small cutoff wheel and sand the edges smooth.

Also I’ll re mention what liberty said about the dust. It is like very small needles/razors that can and will cut into your lungs. It also can irritate your eyes and skin.
When I did my Porsche collision training to work on carbon fiber and Kevlar carbon I had to go thru a whole safety course about the dangers.
I deal with a lot of hazardous stuff at work and the carbon stuff scared me a bit honestly.
Id recommend gloves/mask/ glasses when working with it

Bout ready for 1st send, learned from your post an appreciate you sharing..how your whether??bet your chomping at tha bits to run..lol nice build an cant wait to see it screaming..👍🤙👍👍
Weather hasn’t been great. I may be able to run my other cars tomorrow but it will be very cold.
Even tho I could run in 30 degree weather it just isn’t very fun.
The lipos are also difficult to keep at a good temperature

Got 3 days in the 60s starting tomorrow.waiting on body an 6.5s for motor....might end up hitting the LHS.not ready to get the 1/8,1/7th out yet..it'll take some income tax refunds to get all my $hit back up an running..lol
