After the Infraction rear shaft warped like a banana, I decided to make my own spool and use a 116mm shaft instead of the stock 168mm. Haven’t tested yet, but it fits perfectly!

I broke a tooth like that about 4 or 5 years ago. It's still broken. I have an unreasonable fear of going to the dentist. The only thing I can say is keep it clean and don't eat grape nuts!

My wife Wants her voltage to be faster. So I threw a cheap brushless set up in it that I had gotten a couple of months ago because it came with a program card…and I was curious on how to use a program card. I was also planning on taking it apart. All of it. Oh well.

$30 on Amazon with free delivery! 120amp, 3650/2300kv. It also came with 2 nice decent fans, a program card and a decent heat sink. This should be fun. I set it up maximum throttle so when she squeezes the trigger it’ll blast the hell off “Surprise dear!”

I’m sure it’ll blow up.

I need to build her up a Typhoon. Anyone out there have a mega typhoon (brushed) they want to get the heck rid of lol?

Thank brother! I added that last pic when I got home and dropped it in. Fits like a glove. I TL’d everything yesterday evening, hopefully run this weekend. I need to buy some 40mm fans. The one on that rig crapped out.

Have used dental wax in a similar situation. It’s the wax for braces in the toofpaste isle it’s in a little clear case about 1” x 2” square. And I just filled it up

Spent a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and other assorted bodily fluids yesterday night masking up the new Typhon shell for my first ever RC paint job.

Remind me to never go for ultra-finicky flame masks ever again.

Nice!!! My vinyl cut outs are kinda similar, I just need to apply them. I don’t have the skills to design my own, so I’m mixing together pre cut stencils.

And I got the typhon 6s disassembled lol I keep repeating the phrase “No Disassemble Number 5”

I’ll be organizing later, I kinda just left the mess last night

Take your time applying them though, and have some nerve-calming drinks beforehand -- I recommended Scotch. Also don't put it off 'till last and then only get around to applying them after 1AM or so, like some kind of massive idiot...

I was thinking of calling mine 'Mary'. 'Typhon Mary' has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

So with having the damaged/defective shaft on the new 1717 went ahead and put the TP 4050 back in the Lim for now. Upped pinion a few teeth and will start going for some 4s and 6s PB's. Best so far on 4s was 96mph and best 6s PB was 123mph. Would like to push close to 110mph on 4s and had set a goal a while back to match my first 8s pass PB of 125mph on 6s and only got to 123mph. Also installed one of the crazy powerful fans I found as the TP D wind motors get hot. Fixed the broken solder connection at the motor wire on the Noto from last bash and will be going to 16t on the K6s as the 18t is running hotter than I'd like with the Hobbystar 4585. Xavier is back home so he will be taping his tires on the new Vorteks and possibly starting to tape and reinforce the body also. I made a T2T brace for the Vorteks with my old Noto brace and got that installed for him also. May go ahead and help him install the LED set on it also and of course sit back and enjoy seeing his maiden bash with his new rig and first ARRMA

Managed to get the iridescent green/purple paint and the black backing coat sprayed on over the course of the day. Just peeled off the flame masks after letting things dry properly. Little bit of bleeding here and there, but nothing catastrophic. Overall, I'm pretty chuffed with the results so far.

Got my Tbone front bumper for the Granite today so got it most of the way installed. Not sure if I want to attach it to the bumper spring or leave it nice and flexible how it is currently.
