Found these ABEC-5 bearings left over from my last buggy, and guess what.. they fit in the wheelie bar wheels of a Notorious...!!

Most worthless upgrade ever..????

Got a full battery out of both of the freshly repaired pair I've been working on the past few days. New servo arrived so it'll go in the kraton tomorrow. Anyone else using this one? I saw it recommended in a thread but can't remember where. Seems like a decent option to savox. The ones I have are noisy and I'm not really a fan of the extra racket. Maybe I should ask in electronics.

Dude this just reminded me I forgot to buy a new servo for my D8T.

Decided to work on the Typhon and get ready for the RC blasting this weekend. After reading the post on how the chassis bends with mods; I decided to install my Voltage Hobbies front aluminum brace and rear chassis wing mount brace and also the HR rear chassis brace for now... Hopefully it can minimize damages from the launches this weekend...

I worked on a battery tray fix for my Kraton. I used longer screws and put nuts in the ends. Unfortunately 2 of the screws come up right next to the side of the battery tray so nuts aren't an option on those two. But I can't see the other 3 pulling out. I cut a piece of 1/4 inch plywood as a barrier between the screw ends/nuts and the batteries. Lastly I had to ditch the front sliding bracket of the tray because my Graphene batteries wouldn't fit with the added thickness. My Lektron's would though. I added a second Velcro strap instead.

Does running two different sizes of tire from front to rear cause any issues with your center diff? I always assumed it wouldn't work because the front and rear will be going two different speeds and the center diff would be taking all the abuse of being "diffed out" the whole time it's moving. Maybe I'm wrong and someone smarter can explain why it's ok

I just like the staggered look of the rims and tires and have them setup this way on all my RC's. All of my 4x4 RC's are staggered and even my 2WD RC's... I've been told many times; " Hey you have different sized tires on your 4x4 rigs." I tell them; "so..." I rarely run on pavement; maybe just to test after something breaks and I replaced it... I'm offroading 95% of the time and have never seen all 4 tires balloon the same size on jumps and running WOT... Always uneven... Forgot to mention the tire height is about the same size for the rear and front. Not a drastic difference. .10 difference with tires in the pic... I service my diffs often because I like to. Owning a Merv has taught me alot about diffs... I also use closer to the stock diff oil cst's rather than go 5 or 10 times the norm... I'm not kind to my rigs and I like to jump them more than anything... suspension parts are a different story. I replace those alot... It's just my preference... Blast on...

Which is too common i think.

I use Grim Racer grease
Thanks for the info but ??? Not sure about your reply... GrimRacer is a type marine grease isn't it? I use if for the flexshafts on my RC boats. Unless he has different greases...

Took the Granite and Typhon out today and broke a shock on the Granite almost instantly ??‍♂️ So I decided to run the Typhon instead and blew two outer u-joints, losing both of the shafts. Decided not to fix it a third time with non-new parts. Fixed the Granite shock and finished out a pack! ??

Good news, both slippers held up great. ?
